The Beagle Channel runs in an East - West direction for about 250 km. It is one of the two Southern passages between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Over the last years, it has become an important touristic and recreational destination, based on the beauty of its landscapes, and on the richness and excellent level of conservation of its wildlife and its cultural heritage.
These activities are based and managed from the city of Ushuaia and the small town of Puerto Almanza, a fishermen's village and one of Argentina’s youngest towns. |
